Sughrue Symposium
Sughrue Mion, PLLC, in conjunction with the University of Akron School of Law, announces the date for the Tenth Annual Richard C. Sughrue Symposium on Intellectual Property Law and Policy. The program will be held on Monday, March 10, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio.
This year's theme will be "Looking Back, Looking Ahead and will feature a review of the latest developments in patent, trademark and copyright law, including an in-depth review of the Supreme Courts's decisions in the eBay, KSR and Microsoft cases, a status report on pending patent law reform legislation and a look back on the Federal Circuit on its 25th anniversary. In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the enactment of the "Trademark Law Revision Act (TRLA)," a distinguished panel of individuals will review the impact of the TRLA on trademark law and discuss what further changes may be necessary. Deputy Commissioner of Trademarks Sharon Marsh will join the discussion. Also included on the program will be a segment on ethics.
